Fluke Capital Management formed its Fluke Venture Partners unit in 1982. Following the formation of Fluke Venture Partners II in 2004 as an SBIC, Fluke Capital Management, LP was prohibited by SBA regulations from being its managing general partner and, further, was confined to a minority Limited Partner interest in FVP II, so John became an independent angel investor, assembling his own port folio of companies (hereinafter the Fluke Port Folio).

While at the university, Dr. Mitchell managed and conducted research in multimillion dollar DARPA projects where he developed relationships with medical industry leaders. He has conducted research in biomechanics, tissue engineering, acoustic hemostasis and high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) for tumor treatment. Dr. Mitchell has been involved in helping HIFU gain recognition in the clinical setting and has led research teams in conducting application studies.

In the 1990s, Dr. Nezhat went on to collaborate with robotic pioneers, Ajit Shah and Phil Green to develop the da Vinci Robot becoming among the first to report on robotic surgery’s many applications. These advances drastically reduced surgical morbidities and mortalities, innovations which significantly improved the health outcomes for millions of patients throughout the world.

Dr. Camran Nezhat has also trained many physicians, who have become internationally-known pillars of their communities. Recognized by his own peers for his surgical excellence, Dr. Nezhat’s colleagues have recruited him to serve in many teaching and leadership roles in different medical societies and universities, including as President, Honorary President, Board member, Visiting Professor, Clinical Professor, and Adjunct Clinical Professor. A prolific academic researcher as well, Dr. Nezhat is author of eight textbooks and several hundred peer-reviewed articles and book chapters.
